I am 39 years old, 3 pregnancies all carried to term with vaginal deliveries. When I was younger (teens/20s) I had terrible cramps with my cycle ... like, in bed on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th days of my period because 800mg of Motrin just barely took the edge off the pain. I went on BCP and that seemed to help. After having my third child, things seemed to be settled and my cycle was tolerable and predictable. 28-30 days, cramping on the first day with a seriously heavy flow for days 1-3, period gone by day 5.
Until now. My period started a full week early (just barely 20 days in the cycle), was accompanied by intense pain in my breasts but less cramping then usual. The flow and clots passed have seemed pretty normal but here we are a full week later and I am still bleeding. Also, I was put on some meds to try and help with headaches. The meds were working and I haven't had a headache in 6 weeks but for the last 48 hours I've had such a bad headache that the mere thought of moving my head makes me want to cry. I've taken Motrin and slept when possible.
So ... what say you, Friends? A new variation on normal or something I should be concerned about and call in to the doc?
