Inducing period/IUD insertion

Hellooo superstars.

So, I attempted to get a Mirena IUD insertion in December. I was told it wouldn't matter whether or not I was on my period, so I went in a couple days after it was finished. The doctor had trouble opening my cervix, and she was trying for so long and I was in so much pain that she said that she wouldn't continue and I should come back when I was on my period. I was a little frustrated, because I wasn't going to be back in my home state until the summer, so I decided to get a scrip for the HBC that I had been on a couple years back (TriSprintec, generic of Ortho TriCylcen).

So, I've been on the pill now about 5 or 6 months, and I'm finally going back to my home state next week--for only a week! And that's the only place I can get the insertion fully covered by my insurance. I made an appointment with my OBGYN for next wednesday (5/28), but I will NOT be on my placebo week. Right now, I am finishing up my second week of hormonal pills (I'm a Sunday start), and was wondering if I just stopped taking them now, would I get my period in time for the insertion next wednesday? Is it bad for any reason to stop taking triphasic pills in the middle of the pack?
