Vaginal burning 6 months postpartum

Hi all! So this afternoon I started experiencing some vaginal discomfort and burning, and it's escalated enough that it's making me pretty miserable. There's no itching, discharge, or odor, just pain and a general icky feeling internally. I've never had a yeast infection or BV that I was aware of, so I don't have any basis for comparison. I'm 6 months postpartum (uncomplicated pregnancy and birth, no infections at any point, no tearing, though I did have some major vulvar pain through about 2-3 months pp), no period yet, and exclusively breastfeeding with no history of thrush. I picked up one of those Vagisil pH kits to distinguish between possible yeast or other infections, and didn't notice until after I'd opened it that it said not to use while nursing since that raises the pH. I took it anyway just out of curiosity, and the result was about 6.5. I haven't been able to find a normal pH range for breastfeeding mothers. I'm taking oral probiotics and trying to keep hydrated (had a stomach bug or something a few days ago and was having trouble keeping anything down, including water; wondering if that threw things off). I appreciate any ideas on what might be going on and what I can do about it!
