Cyclical Fatigue That Isn't Anemia or Thyroid

Okay, me again.

35, NP, Mirena for 2.5 years.  Treated for hypothyroid. On antidepressants and a mood stabilizer since forever. Take a mutivitamin, zinc, and vitamin E.

After a bout of major fatigue and constant aches and pains, I got my thyroid levels checked and had my Synthroid dose increased slightly. The aches and pains went away, and most of the sleepiness.  However, I still find that the seven days before my period starts are marked by intense fatigue. I could sleep 12 or 14 hours a day if I wanted to.  (I actually sleep about 8 hours a night and get an hour of vigorous aerobic exercise about 5 days a week). My diet doesn't change, and it's been checked out by a dietician to make sure I'm not crashing my blood sugar.  I'm also not anemic.  I eat mainly veggies and lean protein. It strikes me that this problem might be related to hormonal fluctuation, and I wonder if using progesterone cream could help.  I thought I might try that as it's easy to do.

Anybody have any ideas for self-care?  The progesterone cream?

I am without health insurance and while my local free clinic is amazing, this is a bit beyond their ken.

oops ps: I'm wondering about when in the month, exactly, to use the progesterone if that's the route I try to go.  Anybody have experience?
