UTI prevention

I am very prone to UTIs. And when I get them they always come on super fast and extremely severe. Right now I am splitting my time between my home here in Britain, and my partner's home in America. I spend about two or three months at a time with him, but I don't have health insurance over there. The last time I was there I got a horrific UTI and he took me to an emergency clinic. The cost was huge. I can't afford to let that happen again.

I'm now very very careful, making sure to pee immediately after sex, getting up multiple times to do so if we are going at it for long periods of time. I am taking cranberry supplements daily, and recently have started drinking hot water with cinnamon and honey every day, because I read that it's really good for keeping infections out of your bladder (as well as a ton of other health benefits), so I thought it might be good for UTIs as well.

I was just wondering if there are any other good preventative measures? Are there any other things I can take/eat/drink to help prevent UTIs? Anything else I can do to make sure it doesn't happen?
