I owe a bit of background to you all before I go in to detail about my symptoms.
A year ago, I went off of HBC after being on it for about seven and a half years. My last period while I was on it started on March 15 and ended on the 18th. I had a normal 28 day cycle, and never missed a period in the years I had been on it. But after stopping HBC, my periods were no longer regular. I had none during the months of April and May, a light one from June 8th to the 10th, nothing for July, August and September, a fairly normal one from October 26th to 28th as well as November 19 to 21, and then nothing until a heavier one from February 27th to March 4th.
My fiancé and I decided that we wanted to try for a baby, so we started having unprotected sex starting on March 4th. My period, if I was to be regular, was supposed to be on the 23th; but as expected, it didn't come. I took two pregnancy tests around that time (and one today) and they came back negative. They're cheap dollar store ones, 25 mIU/mL sensitivity.
The symptoms I'd like to ask about started on Saturday, the 30th. I woke up around 5 a.m. and I had some cramping. Nothing severe, they just felt like period cramps, and I don't imagine I woke up because of them; they were just making me a little uncomfortable. I went back to sleep and woke up again around 8, and the cramps were still there. They finally dissipated around 9 or 9:30, but I did have the occasional cramp throughout the day on Saturday, and Sunday, and now today. Normally they're very small, but sometimes it feels like they're period cramps, however I'm not bleeding at all.
I'm wondering if these could be implantation cramps (the timeline might be plausible for either of the days we had sex on - the 24th, 26th and the 29th) or if they are something else entirely that I should see my doctor about. I feel like I should go see him anyways, and talk to him about my irregular periods (I've had a pap test and a blood test and both of them came back normal), and see what he says.
I don't seem to have any other symptoms - my nipples aren't very sensitive at the moment, though they do feel only slightly more tender than normal.
I am desperate to know whether or not I'm pregnant. It's so hard to tell because I don't even know when I ovulated or when my next period is supposed to be due!
Thanks for reading, VP!
