Hello all!

I had a light, clear discharge, no smell, slight vaginal discomfort yesterday.  Thinking it was the beginning of a yeast infection, I inserted an acidophilus caplet.  Today, I have a thick neon yellow discharge, similar to a chalky paste.  No odor, slight burning sensation.  I also am experiencing some light cramping.  I have not had sex in one week, I only have one partner that I have been with for four years.  I was tested for STIs a little over a year ago and was negative.

Could this be a reaction to the acidophilus?

Do you think Monistat will clear this up?

I have no insurance and won't be able to make an appointment with Planned Parenthood for a while, so any advice is appreciated.

Further info:  I only use condoms with my partner; no pills.  I haven't had a yeast infection in about 5 1/2 years.  Periods are always on time.
