A little bit of an update -- I had a surgical abortion on August 9th, I was around 12 weeks pregnant. I had continuous bleeding, clotting, and passing of what appeared to be tissues. I called the clinic that I did the procedure to ask if bleeding that heavily and continuously was normal and I was told that yes, I could bleed, clot, and experience pain for up to 6 weeks after the abortion. Well, last night was officially a month since the procedure and while it wasn't six weeks yet, I went to the ER because I passed this golf ball sized ... thing, it wasn't a blood clot, it was like a ball of tissue and there was actually a hand mixed in there. I took the object and myself to the ER and upon an ultrasound, it appears as though my uterus is basically full of remained product of conception.
I followed up today with a new OBGYN and I'm scheduled for emergency surgery tomorrow for yet another D&C. The only positive thing to come from all of these findings are that I finally found a doctor who agreed to doing a tubal ligation which I'll have sometime after October 10th. *golf clap*
