I've been doing the Atkins diet for about 4 weeks and my period should be coming soon. Although, it's been so unpredictable that I can't say for sure (last month was a 43 day cycle & month before that was 29). Have any of you experienced any effects on your menstrual cycle from lo-carbing? I'm hoping my periods regulate themselves but have also read that periods can initially be heavier or longer after the first few months of going lo-carb. Can anyone share their personal experience? Medical knowledge about how lo-carbing influences hormones in the body would also be greatly appreciated!
