Thrush after sex

Hi everyone,
I apologise if this has already been discussed at length but I couldn't find what I was looking for ...

SO I have had this particular male sexual partner for a bit over a year and every time we have unprotected sex, without fail, a day or two later I have thrush symptoms. We have both had all the STI tests and they have come back negative.
I am 24 years old and had NEVER had thrush until having sex with this partner.
Obviously I can try and avoid this by just using condoms every time, however I am still interested to know if anyone else has had this experience. Could a person's particular pH just disrupt that of my vagina? I have spoken to doctors and naturopaths and they haven't been able to offer any sort of knowing advice. (One doctor said that semen can disrupt the pH and cause bacterial vaginosis, but he pulls out before ejaculation, and this is absolutely not BV, it's definitely thrush {intense itch, discharge, yeast-smell, not unpleasant, just yeasty}.)

Thanks in advance ...
