I'm pretty green and natural when it comes to most things (it makes me really happy that my college has the facilities to recycle everything, I eat as good and organic as I can, dye my hair with the most natural dyes I can get my hands on, etc.), and lately I've been wanting to use products that are more natural and less chemical-heavy; shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, stuff that doesn't have a lot of icky, artificial ingredients. For example, I have some constant, mild acne on my back that I've had problems with since I was a kid, and I've been wondering if the stuff I'm using might be making it worse. I've used regular old soaps and shower gels (bath & body works for the most part) all my life, a good acne set for my face that isn't harsh, but I've just been interested in using more natural products from now on that might work better than what I've already got. Anything by Burt's Bees always does well for me but it's not always easy for me to find, so I'm wondering if anyone in the comm has any recommendation for your favorite hygiene/hair care products that you trust, and that aren't laden with chemicals.
As a note, I've never had any infections, rashes, reactions, or overall huge problems with any products I've ever used; this is more of just a personal choice to step away from the chemicals since I know for a fact there are things out there that are easier on the body.
Thank you all so much!
[EDIT: I never expected to get so many responses! Even if I don't respond to every comment, I just want to say thank you yet again for all the help everyone has given!]
