Playing with NuvaRing During Sex?

I just switched from the Pill to the NuvaRing. It sits pretty close to my vaginal opening, which doesn't bother me normally because I usually can't feel it.

However, when my boyfriend is fingering me, it's most definitely noticeable. It inevitably moves when his fingers are inside me, and we've found that the movement is actually pretty nice, stimulation-wise.

I'm wondering: if we are intentionally moving the NuvaRing while it's inside my body (but it never leaves my body), how much are we jeopardizing its effectiveness as a birth control method? What about the fact that it's moving even when we're not trying to make it move?
