While checking to see if a cyst had grown larger, my doctor felt what he called a 'nodule' on my cervix. I was bleeding heavily at the time, so he couldn't get a good look at it and he scheduled a biopsy for it for this upcoming Tuesday. Some quick questions for anyone who has gone through something similar:
*What is the chance of this thing being cancerous? I just had a pap smear in July, which came back normal. I've never had an abnormal pap. I do have pelvic pain fairly frequently, but I have monster cysts so I assume its from that.
*What should I expect from this biopsy? I know its being done in the office, so it can't be too bad, but should I plan to take the morning off work? The whole day? The doctor said I could probably go back to work right after the procedure but that everyone experiences the pain level differently. My boss said I could have the whole day off if I needed it, but I'm just unsure of what to expect.
Also, for a completely unrelated question: does anyone have any experience with treating ovarian cysts with clomid? I don't ovulate regularly due to the cysts, but we're trying to have a baby and I go to talk to the doctor about treatment options the day before my biopsy (fun...).
