Birth Control help?

So I am in my first relationship that looks like it's going to be sexual. We've begun to discuss birth control and the fella brought up that he has real problems with most condoms(unable to stay hard because he loses feeling) and that it would be highly preferable if I do some sort of hormonal BC and we use condoms only if I was really paranoid. This isn't a big problem for me if we try condoms and they really don't work for him, but I would like to try a couple of different condoms to see if we can find something that works.

So my questions are:

1. What are your favourite kind of condoms that give the most sensitivity to both partners?
2. I'm hesitant to do the pill because I am VERY bad at remembering to take them and I don't want to take a risk like that. Thinking about it, I'm thinking that the Patch or NuvaRing would be good choices for me. Can anyone give experiences with either one? If need be I would do the pill and set myself like 7 alarms to remember it.
3. I hear the Patch/Ring are less effective if you weigh more than 198lbs. I'm at 210 right now but I'm losing, does it actually pose a bigger risk? Should I just do my best to get down under that number before we have sex?
4. Any other tips for someone about to have sex for the first time? We have really great communication and he's the king of foreplay so I'm not too worried about that.
