Yeast Infection and Tea Tree Oil

Hi everybody,

I've been dealing with an issue for the past 4-5 weeks. My labia majora and minora have been getting very red and itchy/burning when walking. When it gets bad, I can't have anything touching the vulva or it feels awful. My job requires a lot of walking and climbing up/down ladders and I've been having to wear loose sweatpants without underwear just to make it through the day. I don't have any unusual discharge but I feel very dried out. I bought a vaginal pH kit and it said my pH was normal and it may be a yeast infection. I treated it with a 3-day pack but it didn't seem to help much. It finally got so bad that a week ago I made an appointment with Planned Parenthood even though my health insurance covers almost nothing until I hit a ridiculously high deductable. They said it looked like I may have some yeast cells and prescribed me 1 Diflucan pill. (I think?) it started feeling better by the 4th day but it's still a bit itchy sometimes. I've noticed that I have this almost sweet scent now but it's been so long that I'm not sure whether it's my normal scent or not anymore.

I'm on a new hbc but I'm only on my second pill of it so it couldn't be the problem. I was on my previous pill, Junel 1/20, for a year and a half. I've changed detergent to a hypo-allergenic one about 7 months ago, only use cotton underwear, and have been taking apple cider vinegar baths. For the past few days I've been applying plain yogurt with active cultures internally and externally and have started taking acidophilus pills every day again. I've also discovered tea tree oil and it is truly amazing. After applying the tea tree oil I can walk around the mall and work the whole day without a problem. It feels so normal when I'm using it, which I am very happy about. My only concern is whether using this every day could cause a problem. I've tried searching google but nothing really came up.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I'm still getting an irritated feeling without the tea tree oil now because I'm scared to go without it. I'm going on a trip in 8 days with my family that will include a lot of walking and I just want to be able to enjoy it like everybody else and not worry about itching and burning. Before I found the tea tree oil, I was feeling kind of depressed about this and have been at my wit's end because nothing I do seemed to help. Thanks in advance for any help/guidance, I appreciate it.

tl;dr: Will using tea tree oil on the labia minora & majora every day cause any issues?

Edit to add: I also tried garlic cloves and boric acid at the very beginning of this and neither seemed to have much effect. It's really only been an external issue.
