Background: I'm 25 years old and neither under or overweight. I have IBS with constipation. I've had one ovarian cyst confirmed, and I'm fairly certain I've had a few more that I never got checked out. I'm on 20 mg of Cymbalta a day. No HBC. I'm sexually active, but I don't really have any reason to believe I might be pregnant.
Ok. So, I think I have an ovarian cyst, but it's been a while since I've noticed any similar pain, so I'm not sure. I will go to the doctor this weekend if I still have symptoms, but I want some input before then so I don't keep Googling things every fifteen minutes.
My last period was September 19-23 (the last date may be the 24; I wasn't keeping track very well), and it was a week later than I had expected. That's not realy out of the ordinary for me, though. If it matters, for the month of August I was on a cycling tour, so at first I figured that the period lateness was just being caused by the sudden drop in physical activity and/or stress from work.
But then a few days after my period (maybe around the 27th?), I started getting an ache in the lower right side of my abdomen. My first thought was "oh crap, it's my appendix", but it's been almost a week, and the pain hasn't gotten any worse, I have no fever or other noticeable signs of an infection. I'm bad at describing locations on the abdomen, but it's about 2-3 inches below my belly button and off to the far side, not quite at my hip bone.
The pain kind of comes and goes throughout the day. The only time anything made it worse was yesterday morning when I went pee; the pain suddenly got worse when I tensed my muscles to push, and then it radiated into my thigh a bit (which made me kind of really worried). Usually I can only feel the pain in front, but once in a while I can feel it in my lower back as well. It's not debilitating or anything, just enough to make me a little worried. BM's and passing gas don't alleviate any of the pain, and usually when I have stomach troubles the pain is on the left anyway.
Sorry for the tldr and random information everywhere. I'm on my phone, so going through and making this sensible would take forever. I'm just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone, and if so, do you have any ideas? The only thing that's coming to mind is a cyst, but I know there are about fifty other things it could probably be. I just don't want to be too worried if it's nothing or not worried enough if it seems like I should get to a doctor ASAP instead of waiting it out.
Thanks in advance in case I can't check back until after work.
