A possibly pregnant post

Hi everyone, I'm currently starting to get pretty worried about my missing period.

Edit: I have started getting some cramps but no blood, but I am still going to buy the pregnancy test when I go to the pharmacy.

2nd Edit: Took a test this morning and it was negative. Cramps are worse, so I guess it's Micronor to blame for this.

MMMMonday! Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The International Transgender Day of Remembrance is coming up on November 20th.

From transgenderdor.org: "The Transgender Day of Remembrance serves several purposes. It raises public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people, an action that current media doesn’t perform. Day of Remembrance publicly mourns and honors the lives of our brothers and sisters who might otherwise be forgotten. Through the vigil, we express love and respect for our people in the face of national indifference and hatred. Day of Remembrance reminds non-transgender people that we are their sons, daughters, parents, friends and lovers. Day of Remembrance gives our allies a chance to step forward with us and stand in vigil, memorializing those of us who’ve died by anti-transgender violence."

We want to use this post to hold space for those we have lost, to murder or to suicide. We hold in our hearts all those who face the threat or have been the victims of such violence - especially trans women of color, who are most at risk.

Do tampons expire?

Probably a silly question, but do tampons expire? I'm having one of those days where even the thickest pad can't contain things, and I found a wayward box of tampons under the sink. However, I'm pretty sure they've been there for years. I didn't see any mention of an expiration date on the box, so I'm assuming they don't, but will they be okay to use? (I can't think of why not, but aside from a brief period, no pun intended, in my 20s, I never really used them, so I don't know a whole lot about them.)

First time poster, some questions. Halp!

I've always had an irregular period since I started at 13.

I had a baby at 22.  I'm 27 now.

For the past year or so, my periods are always at least a week late and EXTREMELY heavy.  I mean like, a super tampon barely lasts an hour.  I've ruined so many jeans, undies, and I'm constantly paranoid at work (I work in a call center so it's often difficult to get off the phone to run to the bathroom).  I have huge blood clots.  I've wasted so much money on pregnancy tests because of my late periods, and I go through a box of super tampons in two days.

What. The. Hell.

Some background on me:

I drink and smoke.  A lot.  I drink too much wine (at least a bottle or two a night).  My life is ruled by stress and anxiety.  I don't eat enough red meat.  I take iron pills during my period or I literally cannot function (exhaustion, irritability, not being able to walk up a flight of stairs without wanting to just collapse and sleep the rest of the day).  I work 8 hours a day, five days a week.  I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend.

I'm gluten intolerant.  My diet consists of white meat (fish, poultry, shellfish), eggs, lots of green veggies, coconut or olive oil, fruit, etc.  No pasta, bread, potatoes, rice, or processed foods.  I'm 5'4, 140.  Not overweight, but not fit.

TLDR; I make a lot of stupid decisions.  Are they behind my ridiculous periods?
