I have two questions. The second is not specifically a female issue, but I hope it's alright since the first one is. If anyone can point me in the direction of a active general medical question community, I'd be much obliged. 1-- For tgose of you with PCOS, if you've taken hormonal birth control, were your cycles any different when you came off the BC than they were before? Like did they regulate better, or become more or less frequent than they wre before you went on the pill? While on the pill, did you notice if your periods were lighter or less painful? 2-- I keep choking a lot. Like a couple of times a day, for the last few weeks. So far I've been able to get the food down, cough it up, or self-heimlich. As you might imagine, this is not fun and is kinda scary. I plan on mentioning it to my doctor as my next appointment, but I thought perhaps someone here could give me some advice in the meantime. I can't imagine why this suddenly has started happening. I'm choking on a number of things-- saliva, small candies, larger food. The only thing I can think of is that I've been taking norco for my back (vicodine/hydrocodone), which I know dehydrates me and relaxes smooth musckle, but that's nothing new. I've also always had a bit of a dry mouth and it's been worse lately, however I'm usually pretty well 'lubed' when I choke. Chewing my food very thoroughly helps a tiny bit, but not much. TIA!
*eta*-- I just sniffed and choked terribly on the little bit of moisture that was sucked into my throat. It's that bad.
