Deodorant tampons and your vagina

Hi, ladies and gents.

I visited my mother this weekend, and was on my period. All she had are those tampons that are supposed to make your period smell better (as if it was so horrible we needed this, but I digress).

Now my poor vagina feels off. Not itchy, not painful, but the delicate ecosystem that is my cunt has been upset. I already ingest huge amounts of yogurt. Are there any other pH restoring treatments out there? Has anyone else had this experience?

Thank You VP!!!

I recieved my superstar tote in the post yesterday and now I'm proudly showing my vadgi love!
To understand how overjoyed I am you must understand that I am currently working in the construction industry, which is predominantly male. I have already managed to persuade them not to call me "pet" and "dear" and refer to me as a woman rather than a "little lady" - so showing a bit of female empowerment and vadgi love has furthered my crusade. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Tampons and Bleach

This is my first ever entry in VP! I'm pretty excited about it. Today at lunch we somehow got on the topic of tampons. I mentioned something about them containing bleach, which is why I refuse to use them - and the guy I work with said that he could find me proof that they DO NOT have bleach in them and that is an internet conspiracy against tampon companies.

I guess my question to all you fine folks is - WHAT THE HECK? I thought we (as in the public) knew for certain that most large tampon companies (i.e. Tampax, Playtex etc.) did indeed use bleach in their products. Does anyone know what my fellow co-worker may be talking about? or is he just full of it??

So here's the deal...

I'm raggin', and my cycle is always super light since going on birth control a while back. Now, I drink tons of water, meaning I have to pee like every 20 minutes. I certainly don't need to change tampons every 20 min, but I've yet to perfect the pee-but-keep-it-in technique. (Just got around that peeing-on-the-string bit. =P) This is a weird thing to ask suggestions for, but I'll do it anyways. =)

(Oh, this might be my first post here so... Hi!)

first time poster

I've been a member of this community for awhile but have never really had anything to post about. But now, I have a question.

A few days ago I noticed a small tear or cut on my vagina. Its alittle hard to describe where it is located but I'll try. The cut is near the top of labia majora, kind of in the crease. To see the cut, you have to spread it open and you can see it at the very top where the lips meet. The tear doesn't really hurt but if I touch it, it hurts alittle.

I'm wondering if I have anything to worry about. I might have accidently torn it while with my boyfriend but I don't remember it hurting or noticing it after he left. Has this happened to any of you? Did you do anything to the tear or cut?

This is going to sound like an odd question. im not sure if it belongs in here or im sorry if it doesnt. I have this clit is so sensitive sometimes that i start to squirm and such and i cant sit still to uhm...have my boyfriend try and give me an orgasm. i've never orgasmed before either. is there anything that i can do to tame this? haha. anything to help?

i <3 my cunt.

Just wondering. . . . .

So, about 3 months ago, I went to my gyno. My old gyno retired (boo), so I have a new one. She was extremely kind and made me feel very comfortable. . . . here's the problem.
I have been going to the gyno since I was 12. (I'm about to be 21. When I was younger I had a lot of problems with my period and was on the pill for a long time to regulate my period. I'm currently not on it.) I have always hated going 'cause it hurt. I was always uncomfortable, but my old gyno was great nd just did it as fast as possible and it was done. Well, my new gyno began the exam this time and of course, I cringed and said "ow, ow" quietly, under my breath and she asked me a bunch of times if she was hurting me. I responded. . "yes, a little, but just do it and get it over with." She tried a few more times, and every time I let out the smallest "ouch", she stopped. She finally told me that she didn't want to do the exam that day because I was "very, very small down there and very, very tight." (I'm a virgin.) I was a bit weirded out - I have always had the exam before. She told me to try to insert tampons in an effort to "open me up" and to come back in 6 months and we'd try again. She also said that she did not want to hurt me - and that she wanted me to WANT to come back, not be scared 'cause it "hurt so much last time." I was a bit upset - I hate going to the gyno, and I have no desire to go back in a few months. I just wanted it over and done with. So, I have 2 questions. First off, do you think her point was valid? And second, I am having a ton of trouble getting a tampon in. Any tips? Anything else I can do to, ahem, open myself up? Thanks!
