Staph infection in an awkward place

So, I've had a staph infection for about 7-8 years. I'm allergic/sensitive to most antibiotics so getting rid of it has been generally out of the question - the antibiotics I can take haven't seemed to kill it. Every once in a while I do get it tested just to make 100% sure it's not MRSA, but it's just a regular old staph infection.

The infection itself is in my armpits and down my sides. It usually would pop up after I shaved (even if I changed razors) because of the skin being opened slightly, but I've since stopped shaving my pits so I haven't had an outbreak in about a year. I've always been pretty careful because I didn't want the infection to get to my crotch.

Unfortunately, I've been kind of stressed lately. And last week during my shower, and looked down to find what looked like a staph pustule on my groin. It went away before I was able to get to my doctor, so I'm not 100% sure, but it looked exactly like one. If it happens again I'm going to storm into my doctor's office right then and there and have them take a swab, but it hasn't popped up again yet.

I'm not sexually active and have tested negative for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea within the last few months (I was tested for renewing my birth control).

But, in the case that it is staph and it has gotten down to my groin... How can I manage this if I ever become sexually active again? It's on the crease between my thigh and crotch area, kind of high up, so condoms/dental dams won't be of much help. Staph is pretty contagious as far as I know, any any skin to skin rubbing in that area can't be good. I don't know if it's only contagious during a breakout or if it could always happen or what.

Anybody have any ideas? :C
