Trying to decide if a doctors trip is necessary, help?

I've posted here before about my severe discomfort with gynos...won't go into why since I don't mean for this to be a triggering post. However, I've got something strange going on and I'm trying to figure out if I need to take a couple xanax and go in to see my doctor.

About a month ago, I got this weird zit/razor burn type bump right in the crease of my leg where it turns into my vulva area. It was soft and squishy, no drainage, no pain, etc. It was just a strange little bump. Unfortunately, it was right on my underwear line, so I think that's why it lingered around so long...plus, I naturally sweat a lot in that area so it wasn't really a very conducive environment to healing. But today it has changed in new and exciting ways! /sarcasm. I think I must have scratched it in my sleep last night, because when I woke up, it was about double in size, definitely tender, and it drained a clearish/pussy type fluid when squeezed. I panicked when I felt it because it felt like the sort of large blisters you get after a really bad sunburn, but when you look at it, it's almost the same color as my skin with no definable white head or anything like that. I don't know if this description is making any sense... It's not itchy, it doesn't hurt unless it's touched, and I've had a gauze swatch over it for the last few hours with no drainage on it. I'm really not sure what this could be! Is it just a zit from hell? It might be a boil, but I don't feel like the coloring is far enough from my natural skin tone to really indicate a boil.

This is what I've done for treatment so far :
* Warm compress with gently squeezing to release the fluid (
* Quick swipe with an alcohol pad
* Antibiotic ointment and then a gauze dressing over it for a few hours.
None of this has really made much of a difference in its size or tenderness, but it's even less red now.

...Ideas, anyone? Obviously home treatment is what I'd prefer.
