I am so entirely sick of having my period. I just want to stop having a period. I know that sounds terrible, but every month I am in extreme pain. And I mean EXTREME. It makes me so sick, writhing in agony, even my thighs are in pain and feel almost too weak to stand on my legs at all. I take Naproxen and sometimes that doesn't even help - like today. I have been dealing with a horrible and painful period since high school. My period isn't even that heavy and only lasts for about three days, but it's just extremely painful and so hard to live with.
I haven't worked outside of my home for years, but truthfully, I'd be afraid to even work anywhere else because of my period. I wouldn't be able to call off three days a month every single month! So much pain, I don't know how I get through it. It's gotten to the point where I actually fear having my period because the pain is THAT bad.
I have a heart shaped uterus and my gyno said that that could be a cause for some of the pain I go through each month. I also pass blood clots that probably have a lot to do with the pain as well.
I will be talking to my doctor about ways to just not have to deal with this anymore, but I'd like to know what you guys think, especially those of you who delay their period.
I have done just about everything to quiet the pain. Some things help some and some things haven't helped whatsoever. It also depends on the month. Sometimes Naproxen helps pretty well... but today... I took Naproxen almost an hour and a half ago and the cramps are still very, very bad. I just don't want to deal with this anymore.
PS - I am in the U.S.
