Vasovagal response + parsley tea question!

Hello lovely people! I am 22 and have never been able to use tampons. I've wanted to for years, but I think I have some sort of vasovagal response when using them, which doesn't seem mega uncommon now that I finally googled it. Basically, whenever I try to insert a tampon I get it partway or all the way in, then abruptly begin having tunnel vision, feel nauseous, dizzy, shakey, etc. After that I obviously remove the tampon, but usually feel like crap for quite a while afterward. Is there a good method to relax myself? I don't understand why I am subconsciously afraid of using tampons. It's not like I haven't had things up my crotch before. I do enjoy pleasuring myself if you know what I mean~

The main reason I feel like I really need to start using tampons NOW is because I have a trip coming up and I already figured out my period will start during it. It's going to be insanely hot and the last thing I want to do is feel even more disgusting with a sweaty pad. I've seen posts about parsley tea being able to induce periods. Would something like that be helpful as a backup plan if tampons don't work out? I'd rather have my period early and not have to worry about it at least.
