HBC opinions and other matters

I've been sexually active for 10 years and was diagnosed with vulvar vestibulitis 9 years ago. In the entire 10 years that I've been having sex, I can remember wanting and seeking out sex only once in that time. I'm currently on Lo-Ogestrel 28-day, but am looking to switch to Clieste since another poster recently mentioned how it sent her libido through the roof. After doing some research on it, my husband and I discovered that another side effect of Clieste is uncontrollable crying. He'd rather I didn't go on it, but I'm willing to risk that side effect just to get my libido back.

If anyone in the community is currently or has taken Clieste, I'd like to know what side effects you've experienced and how long they took to appear and to abate (if at all).

For those of you in relationships, do you discuss your medical treatments with them and get their opinions before starting something new? If they're against a new treatment that you're looking into, do you discard the new treatment or do you go ahead over their objections? I ask because my husband is not only against my trying Clieste, but he's also against my trying Elavil for the vestibulitis. He's not a fan of medicine in general and always seems to shoot down any type of chemical solution when I bring it to his attention. I feel that this is really limiting my options when it comes to treating the vestibulitis and lack of libido.
