I have a yeast infection, quite mild. I have mild symptoms, and it sometimes seems like it's gone (then rears it's head after I have sex). It has lasted for 2+ weeks now. I have ALWAYS been able to cure them, just using yogurt.
This time around I've used the oral Canestan treatment, yogurt and cloves of garlic. I finally went to the doctor, and he told me to try the 3 day Monistat treatment.
1. Should I be doing these at night? Should I buy pantyliners for the next day, or will there be no discharge from the medication?
2. I know I should be avoiding sugars...but what about fruit sugar?
3. I work in an environment that has lots of yeast (for pastry). This may be a silly question, but is it possible that this contributed to my yeast infection? Or maybe I hadn't washed my hands thoroughly and there was residual yeast on them when I inserted a tampon. Sorry if this question is dumb--I just don't know.
Thanks for any help!
