I recently discovered that the guy I've been dating for ~10 months has Klinefelter's syndrome. I personally have no qualms about this - in fact, when he told me I was relieved to finally know why he thought and acted so inherently different than all of the other guys I'd dated in the past. He has been battling with gender identity his whole life, and until recently had equal amounts of estrogen and testosterone in his system. While he labels himself as bisexual to "simplify" things, he most closely identifies with the term gender queer.
I was just wondering whether any of you had experience with this condition and could offer your experiences. I would really like to hear them. I'm very curious about the way people identify with gender and sexuality, and I want to do my absolute best as a girlfriend to understand, and to reassure him that he's not alone.
Thank you all in advance.
