My first "period"/withdraw bleed on Loestrin was just like Yaz or anything else--horrible cramps, had to take strong painkillers, stayed in bed all day. I experience breakthrough bleeding two weeks into the pack as well. For the month of february (this month), I also experienced breakthrough bleeding two weeks into the pack, and got my second withdraw bleed on Loestrin just yesterday. However, this month was totally different. And I mean different. No cramps. None!
Don't get me wrong, I am beyond thrilled if this is actually happening. I haven't EVER experienced a period without cramps, no matter what I've done or tried. Could this really be happening? The thing I want to ask about is how you go about determining whether it's just spotting or an actual period/withdraw bleed. I know that HBC can make your periods lighter and shorter, which makes the situation even more tricky to me. The main thing that is throwing me off is the no cramping. My period is also very light, but I still need a pad/pantyliner. It's mostly brownish, but some is dark red. Yesterday shortly after I started, there was a moment where it was bright red and covered the toilet paper.
I've had sex a few times since my last withdraw bleed and I guess I'm just concerned, even though I probably shouldn't be. We didn't use a condom, but he did pull out and of course, I'm on HBC and taking it perfectly.
So...full-on withdraw bleed, or spotting? Thoughts? And is this no cramping thing for real?!
