Last cycle and it looks like THIS cycle too, I ovulated but then my luteal phase is EXTREMELY short... like 8 days or even 6 days and then my period starts.
It did that last month, and then this month my body had a really hard time ovulating. It took it 30-some days before it finally was able to ovulate. It looked like it tried a few times and then finally got it. Well, now it's only 6 days past ovulation and I am spotting. I was also spotting yesterday at 5 DPO.
I usually take my temp at 6:00 in the morning. Last night I went to bed rather late, probably around 2:30 or 3:00. Took my temp at 6:00 and it said 97.5. I am not sure if that is accurate or not. I went back to sleep and took it again at 10:00 a.m. and it said 98.1. Not sure which one is the most correct.
If it is 97.5 it does make sense, I guess, since I am spotting.... but then it does mean that my luteal phase is extremely short AGAIN just like last cycle, and then it must mean I have some sort of progesterone issue going on or something. Is this something that PCOS can cause or a cyst on the ovary, etc?
I did just have a CT scan on Friday, which wasn't fun because I had an allergic reaction to the dye contrast... but if I have PCOS it would show up on the CT scan, right?
I am really annoyed about why my cycles are messed up all of a sudden, especially the luteal phase being so extremely short. Before this happened, it was usually 13 or 14 days in length. Now it's 8 or 6 days in length.
I was supposed to see my gynecologist on Monday for a pap, but obviously will have to cancel that if my period decides to really come early again. Though I do need to talk to them about all of this as well.
Any ideas with what could be going on?
I am just tired of all this happening. I have enough going on in my life without HAVING to have this happen as well.
Here is my chart: http://www.tcoyf.com/forum/chart.asp?id=disturbedme
The messed up cycles are the recent ones: 53 and this cycle, which is 54.
