I'm just back from a failed attempt to insert an IUD. After 40 minutes, and at least three tries, the gynecologist gave up.
The sounding showed a normal uterus. A later sounding showed it a bit tilted to the left.
I received quite a bit of anesthesia, but it was a no go. She said she didn't want to make a "false canal", but she said she thought she had at the end, because it became very painful. I live in Norway and we don't get any cervix softening drugs.
Any idea what's wrong with me? She got it 3-4cm/1.2"-1.5" in, but no further.
