I have recently become engaged, hurray! My fiance is in the army, however, and will be deployed until his contract is up. We've only seen each other a handful of times since he enlisted, and had only been having sex these past two times. I wasn't on the pill but decided to go back on it (was on it before for several years) because I wanted extra pregnancy protection because having babies will not be in our cards for at least another few years...
The problem is, though, I HATE being on HBC. I love having a predictable/natural cycle that I can track on my calendar, I like being aware of when I'm ovulating, when I'm fertile, etc. I am trying to decide if I should go off for good or not because not only do I miss the aforementioned things, I hate that it gives me acne. I never had acne before now, and it sucks.
To make a long story short: Thinking of going off HBC, but am scared because of the lowered pregnancy protection, do not want to use condoms with my fiance. He's an expert at pulling out and always has been able to pull out in time even while I've been on the pill.
For those of you who practice withdrawal regularly, can you tell me more about how exactly you use it?
What is the difference between the FAM/rhythm/calendar methods?
I feel like just giving up and staying on some form of HBC or trying to get a copper IUD or something but I just want to be 110% natural me, no additives or objects in my body :( What is a girl to do? I love having a CYCLE, not an HBC altered, an-ovulatory, faux-period one...*sigh*
