I think I can safely say that in the last schoolyear, I've had at least ten bladder infections (some of which were fought off within a day by incessantly chugging water, but UTIs nonetheless). I got my first one around when I was 17 and they have exponentially increased in numbers ever since. I've started taking cranberry pills in the last few months and that has been working ok, even though there have been a few occasions as well, but definitely less. Either way, I'm EXTREMELY sensitive to getting bladder infections and it's getting so frustrating. I don't know if it's like this for everyone, but every time I get one it's just this constant stinging sensation and I literally can't do anything normally because all I'm thinking about is that feeling and how badly I have to pee. Despite taking cranberry pills EVERY night, I got one again today and just broke down into tears because I JUST CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE!!!!!
Anyone else out there who gets them this frequently? What do you think worked best for finally stopping these terrible infections?! Could there be something else wrong with me if I get them this often?
