Sex Toy Materials

Hi, all. Bit of a lurker here, and decided to ask a couple of questions that have been bothering me.

I guess I could say I'm on a toy binge. I just bought a new vibrator (little clit stimulator) and am considering buying either a dildo or an insertable vibrator, as the one I have has a rigid core and is not always comfortable. I've been looking around for something that appeals that's within a particular price and size range, and I've found a couple of possibilities. Hence, the questions.

1. I know the arguments against jelly products include phthalates that are often used in them, so I'm curious about a line of products being issued that are labeled as jelly, but also touted as being latex- and phthalate-free. They're labeled Basix and are apparently produced by Pipedream Products. Has anyone heard of these? Any information regarding the veracity of the claims or the quality of the products themselves?

2. Like I said, the problem with my current toy is that it's not very flexible. I know that silicone products are recommended as being better than jelly, but one of my concerns is flexibility. So silicone versus jelly, any information?

Thank you in advance!
