I was diagnosed with PCOS shortly after getting my Mirena IUD about 4 years ago. I was medicated with metformin, and have had regular periods (25-28 day cycles) without fail since then. I had my IUD removed on May 4th. On May 6th, I got my period right on schedule (27 days since the previous one.) I ovulated May 18th (well, it's likely I did - I recorded details about my cervical mucus, at any rate, and it was egg-white like for about 24 hours.) My husband and I had protected sex on May 17th, but had unprotected sex on the 14th, as well as a few times after that (May 21st and 27th.) My period is totally missing, although I had some rather strong PMS symptoms about a week ago (sore breasts, especially.) My period is now, by my calculations, about 5 days late. No cramps, no more breast tenderness, just some fatigue and (this is the part that makes me suspicious) nausea, which is not part of my normal anything. Three pregnancy tests (Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday) say I'm not pregnant. We're not really TTC just yet, but it obviously wouldn't be the end of the world if I were pregnant. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. Should I take another one? If I'm not pregnant, what's up? I did post this to amipregnant and iud_divas, but have had no response to either post yet, so I thought I'd ask here.
