Weird stomach issues

Hey everyone. I posted something similar in WomenHealth but I'd like to ask in a little more detail here:

For the past few days, my lower stomach (about where you'd get menstrual cramps) has been feeling weird. Almost like it's sore, but it's..crampy. It's really hard to describe. I just went off birth control (Yaz--I had been on it for 4 years) and my last period was about a week and a half ago, so I highly doubt I'm pregnant. I have also been really gassy with this strange discomfort, but I don't know if it's related.

When I press on where it aches, it is a little tender and uncomfortable for me to touch. It doesn't necessarily hurt, but it is noticeable. I don't have a fever, nausea, or any other symptoms. I feel fine otherwise.

Someone in womenhealth mentioned that it sounded like ovarian cancer...which sounds scary. Is this true?
What about ovarian cysts? I had one about 4.5 years ago, and I've been on birth control ever since. BC helps prevent them, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. But is this maybe a cyst that has come about now that I'm off BC?

I'm really paranoid about my health, so I'd appreciate some help/advice. I'd like to know if this sounds like anything I should worry about, or if any of you get this from time to time. I can give any other details that might be necessary if asked.
