I'm having laparoscopic surgery at the end of next week due to have several miscarriages and tons of trouble getting pregnant in the first place, so they're taking a look around to see if they can find anything physical that could be causing my difficulties.
Has anyone else had this, and what were your experiences with this? I'm not really sure what to expect for recovery. The pre-op nurse lady person said that they do this all the time and there's never any problems, but I doubt she'd be telling me about anything bad that could happen anyway, aside from the usual "you might have these complications".
Also, I have a nose piercing and I might have to take it out for the surgery, depending on who the anesthesiologist is. Obviously, I don't want it to close up during the surgery. I was looking to see if there are any solutions to the problem, but haven't really found any. I know there are some plastic ones that people use, but I've heard they're often a larger size than most nose jewellery (and I couldn't even tell you the gauge of what I have in, if they come in different sizes -- it's thin, that's all I know). I also heard the suggestion of fishing line, but I'm not sure how that would work. Has anyone encountered this and found a good solution?
Thanks in advance!
