Negative test results yet still symptomatic

Hello! I've posted here a couple times over the last month about a persistent yeast infection I've been dealing with for over a month. After taking a course of Terazone 3, 2 doses of Diflucan and going through 2 menstrual cycles, my yeast infection is still there.

I went to the clinic today and saw the doctor once again and luckily my test results, which weren't supposed to in until next week, had come in early. The doctor went over them with me and I ended up testing negative for yeast, trichonomas, BV, chlamydia and gonorrhea. I was perplexed by the result since I still have symptoms (yellow/white vaginal discharge with occasional clumps, itching and a lot of burning) and when the other doctor took the sample for testing last week, he said he could still see yeast in my vagina. The doctor also seemed perplexed by the test results since they are saying I'm free and clear but my vagina is clearly saying otherwise. He end up prescribing me Flagyl (to treat BV) twice a day for 7 days to be taken simultaneously with Fluconazole (Diflucan) once a week for 4 weeks. He then gave me a gynecological referral and if my symptoms persist, I should see the gyno for now one.

So I was wondering, has anyone else ever gotten completely negative results for YI and BV while still displaying the symptoms? Could the source of my discomfort be something else? I've had UTIs before and the burning I feel is nothing compared to that. For all the things I've read and past experience I truly feel like I have a YI or BV despite what the test says. Thank you!
