Blood clots in urine - timing visit to doctor

Last night around 4:45am i woke up with classic early UTI symptoms. It was mild enough that with a certain amount of will power I got back to sleep. When I got up I didn't feel so bad, a slight tingling sensation, but I thought with enough fluids I might be able to wash it out myself. Seemed to be doing fine until a couple of hours ago, when I woke up again and now it is extremely painful. Moreover, there is blood, quite a lot of it, and there are even blood clots. Clearly I need to see a doctor. However it is 4am.

The question: With that much blood, should I get a taxi to the emergency clinic, or wait until my normal doctor opens at 8am and plead for an early appointment?

Other information which I do not know if it has any bearing on this or not. Last cycle was very long and anovulatory. It also turns out I had two ovarian cysts, one of which was quite large and causing my ovary to turn. My OB/GYN told me to take Vitex to both bring on my period and get me to ovulate (not that that has normally been a problem.) I ended up ovulating very early (CD9), so as of today I took my last Vitex pill two days ago. The last time I had a UTI was nearly a year ago, and as I was travelling for the weekend, I had no choice but to drink it out. Before that, I hadn't had one in about 15 years, when I used to get them commonly.
