Does this always signify something serious? I've had several doctors touch them in the last few months and ask me if they hurt, I answered that no, they didn't hurt but it felt uncomfortable, like my reflex would be to close my legs together, it felt like when the doctor taps under your knee to test reflex and your foot jerks. Anyway, my GP yesterday told me they were definitely swollen (she was checking me out for herpes as I had some little bumps), but that it made sense as I've been diagnosed with PID. I'm wondering why the other doctors seemed to ignore it or didn't mention it to me? If I'd been told they were swollen, I'd have gone to a gyno immediately instead of accepting that I had a YI. I have done some googling and I see that it can be a sign of gynecological cancers and other things. The nurse at the sexual health clinic (where I was diagnosed with suspected PID) told me it was quite possible I didn't have PID and that BV could have caused my pain during the exam, but would BV cause swollen lymph nodes? I'm so worried now about all the stuff that could be wrong.
