Menstrual-Type Pain at Ovulation Time?

Just curious about whether anyone else has experienced menstrual-type pain accompanying ovulation. I'm not talking about mittelschmerz, which I've had pretty regularly before. In this case, I'm talking about uterine cramping (centered, not one-sided) along with substantial low and mid back pain. Both are steady throbbing rather than feeling sharp or stabbing, and both are intense enough that they're not responding to ibuprofen or acetaminophen, though that's pretty typical of my pain associated with cyclic goings-on.

According to my FAM charts, I'm due to ovulate any day now. I've had fertile quality cervical fluid for the past 5 days, and I'm actually 9-11 days past when I'd typically expect to ovulate. (I also had a cold and a UTI in the week-ish prior to my average ovulation, so the delay doesn't surprise me at all.)

I'm not experiencing any other symptoms that would make me suspect other causes or health issues going on. It feels very much like I'm PMSing (minus the bloating and the breast tenderness, which I am not complaining about). Only given my fertility signs for this cycle, it seems very likely that actual PMS is the cause of the pain either.
