Hi, ladies. I have my OB appointment in about two weeks, but I'm curious about something and my husband and I have been having trouble finding a satisfactory answer. We know that some fish should be stayed away from during pregnancy due to high levels of mercury, but I wanted to know if I could eat some of my light tuna. We looked it up, and found studies that said eating light canned tuna was okay (mine isn't canned, it's in the pouch) but they were published in 2004 and 2006. So, I'm left confused. Anyone know what the protocol on eating tuna for a pregnant lady is? Thanks in advance, ladies! I apologize if this is in the memories somewhere, but I'm in the process of calling family and friends to announce my pregnancy and haven't had time to really look.
