Bartholin Cyst?

This happened awhile ago, but I was always curious. A year ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and one of my labia lips was sore, like sore enough for me to get out of bed and go check. I lifted back the lip and saw a relatively small black dot (about the same size or slightly smaller than a pea) that was slightly raised. I touched it and it was sore to the touch. I honestly though it was a bug bite of some kind. Anyways, I squeezed it a little and a huge amount of pus came out. For how small this black dot was, I couldn't believe how much came out. I squeezed it a few more times and some more pus/blood came out and then it was fine. I never had a recurrence. It was around the area where the Bartholin gland would be, but it was so much smaller than what I've heard would happen with a cyst. If it helps, I was 17 years old, and on birth control for two years to help with PCOS and I was not sexually active.
