My friend originally posted an entry for me...
I'm just posting from her account now instead.
I appreciate the great feedback and information I got. I'm now posting to express my current concerns about possibly being contracted with genital herpes. At first, I thought I was safe because I thought I had only had oral sex with a person who may have genital herpes, who was not showing a sign of a outbreak. I understand that they don't have to be having an outbreak to pass it on, cause they can also give it to someone else when they are shedding. But the more I think about it, the more I worry that there may have been genital to genital contact because I was intoxicated when the sexual encounter occurred(2 weeks ago tomorrow). There was no penetration, but I can't be certain that there was no skin to skin contact.
Anyway, I'm starting to worry more about the slight bumps that I have on my vagina. They are slightly red, and have been there for about 2 days now. They only hurt when pressure is applied. So in reality they could be a number of things. I was gonna go see a health care provider today, but I had to reschedule and go tomorrow. I want to get a sample of what ever this irritation is as soon as possible. How long does it usually take or lesions to form?! Cause its been about 48hrs and the it doesn't seem like the irritation/slight bumps have changed at all?
When you get tested for genital herpes and they get a sample from the possible lesions, how long does it take for the results to come back? Or does it depend? I'm extremely freaked out at the moment. Any additional helpful information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
