I recently moved to a new state and need to find a new gynecologist. I would like to find one who is pro-choice, so that if I ever had an abortion I could count on the doctor to be respectful of my choice and willing to handle my follow-up care. I live in a very conservative state, so this may be a challenge.
My question is how to go about asking for this information without coming off as rude. If you're shopping for a doctor, is it more customary to set-up a consultation to speak with the doctor, or to ask for a phone interview of sorts?
Also, there are no recommended gynecologists for my state on the VP list.
