How long will pubic hair get?

A few months ago I decided to toss away my razor for good as I was tired of all the headaches, cuts, itching, bumps, etc. and have decided to not even trim, going for that natural look.  My pubic hair is quite course and curly and when stretched out as straight as I can get it, it appears to be almost 4 inches in length.   I'm sure it's different for every lady out there but how long can pubic hair get before it stops growing?

Mine can get over 3 inches it looks like. (I stopped trimming a couple of months ago, so it might be still growing.)

Same here. I just trim with a little hair buzzer.

Mine only gets maybe an inch long. However, when I was doing elder care, I saw some pubes that were maybe 6 inches long, and straight, not curly.

Mine are only curly right after I get out of the shower. Then they fall straight, it's kinda weird. :) I wish the hair on my head would do that.

Mine are straight too, except for one or two random renegades that I tweeze because I just cannot stand the contrast. Yay, OCD.

Mine are straight too. My head hair is straight as a board too...craziness when I consider how curly my mother and sister's hair head is too...hmmmm...genetics...

it was pretty amazing.

Mine don't get that long, and they curl... Maybe two or three inches, pulled straight? But I have fuzz (shortening down from there) going all down my thighs. *sigh*

Once had a dream that my pubic hair had spread around my hips and legs, turned very long, and was a dreadlocked skirt down to my ankles... >_>

that is really scary. oh god. reading that was like the feeling of spiders crawling over you, or at least the thought of spiders crawling all over you.

In my opinion, pubic hair never stops growing, I am what you cal 'elder' over 65 and my pubes which have never been trimmed are over 4 inches and still growing, perhaps slowly, but nevertheless growing.

Actually, the hair all over your body is designed to grow for ever. The only difference is that the genetic coding is different for head vs arms/legs vs underarms vs vulva to make those hairs fall out when they reach their imprinted life expectancy and are replaced with new hairs. That's why, if you don't shave or trim those places, the hair usually reaches a certain length (unique to each body but usually within a set range) and doesn't grow beyond it. It sounds freaky, but makes sense. [And, OT, makes me giggle at the descriptions in Victorian porn where the young lady in question had pubic hair falling as a curtain half-way down her thighs!]

Really? I remember asking my science teaqcher about this and she also mentioned something about how there's weights/pressures involved with how long your hair grows as well. Like, once it reaches a certain length, it becomes too 'heavy' so it stops growing. If you cut it, it will be too 'light' and start growing again. Maybe a combination of the two? I know your body having an ideal weight for everything is not unusual or unheard of.

That doesn't sound right to me. If that was the case, wearing your hair up instead of letting it hang long would be the key to growing practically infinitely long hair. And what about eyelashes or the hair on your arms? Do people with really fine hairs grow much longer hair on their arms because it takes that long for the weight of their hairs to trigger shedding? I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

That reminds me a lot of an urban myth I heard once that having extensions put in to your hair would make your hair too heavy for your scalp to handle, so your hair follicles would scar and eventually you'd go bald. I've known women with natural hair down to their knees, which would be much heavier than most extensions no matter which way you measure it, and they were certainly in no danger of going bald. It's silly the things people come up with. :D

pubic hair falling as a curtain half-way down her thighs

...wow. That is the exact opposite of mainstream modern porn.

Mine usually stop growing after 4 or so inches.

its funny because i was just thinking about this.
mine are at their longest 2 inches, i think. my pubic hair is wavy/curly, so its hard to tell.
