Question about vagina picture

Hellooo! So I have a question about a picture I saw today on the ljsecret community. It's a picture of a vagina, and to be honest, I'm a bit confused by it. I'm going to give a link because I have a shared computer, so I don't particularly want to save the picture. Here's the link to the community: *Not* safe for work! and it is secret number 58. So my question is, what is that fleshy bit in the middle? I would say labia, but it seems to be coming straight from the middle...so then I don't really know what else it could be. I've heard of people having clitorises where they thought it was a penis because it was large, but is that what it is?

Sorry if I seem really ignorant, but I'm just really confused and curious.

Just so you know, I am equally confused and curious.

I almost think that maybe it's labia, and the owner of that particular downtown region is sitting on a copier? I have an overactive imagination.

I have no idea. That vagina looks completely different from any other vagina I've ever seen before.

There isn't even an opening...

Prolapsed uterus

Oh! I saw that too! I had NO idea what was up with it...I dunno if it's the original poster's vagina or if it's just a random picture they found...it's really not what I would expect to see...Then again, I have very limited knowledge of other people's vaginas.

It does indeed look like a prolapsed uterus. More info about the condition can be found here:

And you can also do a Google image search on "prolapsed uterus" to see other examples, if you're curious.

I am so, so scared that I have this. I have a couple of the symptoms.

My guess was the woman was giving birth and it was a baby's head crowning, but other than that, no clue!

To me it looks like a large clitoris, Ambiguous Genetalia. The pictures of prolapsed uteri (?) still have a clitoris above the bulged uterus. That looks like it IS the clitoris. If she had been a boy baby that would have become a penis. It looks like the head of a fully grown man's penis. She has ambiguous genetalia and has a little of both. what some mistakenly call "hemaphrodite"...but i'm not a doctor. Maybe she'll see this post...

I agree with you. I had never heard of a prolapsed uterus but when I looked into it it certainly didn't seem like sex would be a very easy (or even possible) thing to do, yet the creator of the postcard was talking about having sex in the dark.

I agree with the previous posters that it could be a prolapsed uterus, but it could also be an inter sexual person. There is definite labia swelling that could be testicles (at least one, anyway). It is a guess, but I have seen a few inter sexual bits up close and personal, and each one has been different.

I've heard of the prolapsed uterus before. Did you know it is actaully quite common? I had a freind who worked at a gynecologists office who said that older women come in all the time with that problem.

I found this unbvelieveable. I couldn't believe no one ever told me this could happen. This is the first time I've ever seen or looked for pictures though of the prolapsed uterus.

I find it shocking that they don't tell us about this in sex-ed or something. I don't know it just seems like it would be a big surprise if you got one and you had never heard of it. Maybe even traumatizing.

The large fleshy part IS the uterus. It's a prolapsed uterus.. then the clitoris to the top left, then under that the labia.. it's just pushed to the side because of the prolapsed uterus. That lady probably would have had to have a hysterectomy cuz it looked pretty serious! Gross.

It DOESN'T just happen in older women. It can happen to anyone who has given birth vaginally and either had a hard time or has had more than one birth so it weakens the ligaments. I know because I'm going through it right now and I am only 28.. not near what this lady in the picture is THANK GOD. The crappy thing is that I may not be able to have more children (I have two) if they can't repair it. I'll find out this week.

Not all that unusual. You can often find 4" - 5" protruding and sometimes it can bear a devastating resemblance to an uncircumcised penis. The skin of the everted vagina eventually becomes like other skin, too. It generally happens when a woman has had a number of children and when additionally her hormone balance shifts so that she has very low levels of estrogen and high levels of testosterone. So it does happen primarily to more masculine women. Obviously sexual intercourse is impossible from the male point of view and the prolapsed uterus is not quite rigid enough and a bit too large in circumference to use in the same way as a penis, though it's too far down anyway.
