Bloody nose during sex

So, I got a bloody nose while having sex last night.
It stopped pretty quickly with the usual treatment (toilet paper, head forward/back, blowing out clots, yay), but it was still weird. I used to get bloody noses semi-frequently, but I haven't had one in awhile and I've NEVER had one during sex before.
I hold my breath a lot when I'm trying to orgasm to help build tension, and I sometimes notice that there's a large amount of blood flow to my head (red face, etc.) - so I think I just may have been trying too hard. Also, the air in our apartment is pretty dry.

But, just in case - is this anything I should be worried about? Post-cleanup, we finished fine and with no other incidents (I thought it might freak him out because he's not into period sex, but apparently my face suddenly bleeding isn't as scary as having his dick covered in blood), but I'm still a little concerned that it might mean "something more" (dundundun).

Any thoughts?

Thanks. =)

I think the fact that it happened during sex was a coincidence, unless you got hit in the face or something, although you were probably breathing heavy and breathing dry air will cause a nosebleed. I don't think holding your breath or letting blood rush to your head can cause a nosebleed, though. It probably had mostly to do with the dry air in your apartment, like you said, and the cold weather tends to cause nosebleeds. Try using a humidifier when you sleep to keep your nose moist.

I get nosebleed all the freaking time, and haven't noticed any correlation with sexual activity--I place my bet on the dry air. Try using a saline nose spray.

I heard stories of people having nose bleeds during sex or when they're sexually arosed. It's actually a common theme in alot of animes. haha.

Lol. That happened to my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago. I was amused, he joked about me being a little too rough (despite a significant lack of him being hit in the face with anything) while holding a kleenex to his nose. He was fine, and it hasn't happened since. Just so you know, you aren't the only one!
