Lump under skin

I have found a little lump in the private area just below the clit it is sore when the tissue paper runs across it and it has concerned me! I could post a photo but I don't know how to do it without it just showing up? Does anyone have any info on this? I have been tested for everything and I have nothing married only been with this person and he has nothing paps are normal! I was thinking could just be a cyst or maybe this is just normal! Thanks

It might be a swollen bartholins gland, which is nothing to worry about and quickly will go away on its own.

sitz bath or a warm compress sounds like a good idea. If it doesn't go away within the week I'd make a gyno appointment.

It could be an infection under the skin, which can totally happen. Use a warm compress on the area, and see if it gets better?

If it turns into a blister, then it could be HSV -- which can jump from oral to genitals if there's been oral sex, or saliva on fingers. Basically, cold sores can be oral or genital, and will happily jump to either mucous membrane if there aren't antibodies. (HSV-1 is the usual one orally, and happily jumps to the genitals (for a long time people thought it wouldn't do outbreaks genitally more than a few times, but this seems to've been wishful thinking). HSV-2 really prefers the genitals and from what I've read, while it can jump to the mouth area, it tends to be better-behaved there.)

If it winds up being HSV, acyclovir is the generic form of the anti-viral that works on it and it is WONDERFUL. (Valcyclovir may be a little better, but is ungodly expensive last I looked.)

Good luck!
