Hard bump on labia and a sore groin

Hey everyone I just had a visit with the doctor this morning but I'm looking to get some thoughts from everyone as I've had some reassuring moments with you all before.

A week or so ago (roughly 5 - 6 days) I noticed there was a hard small pea like bump on the upper half of my labia majora it didn't really hurt much when I poked at it with my finger or rolled it under my finger, just a wee bit sensitive. This week though it has begun to hurt quite a bit. I've been looking down there a lot to check on it and I think irritated it quite a bit. I went to the doctor this morning because my groin is in a lot of pain and one of the lymph nodes is a bit sensitive. The doctor said that it was not swollen and he took a swab of the area with the bump to rule out HSV.

What I am curious about is if this was my first out break due to HSV wouldn't the little bump have become progressively more painful and eventually turned into a blister or sore by now? It's been at least a week since i've noticed it. How long would a sore take to develop if it was part of an outbreak ?

Also (I mentioned this to the doctor), when i was poking around down there yesterday a bit of white (pus?) came out like when i squeeze white heads.

I have had odd pimples like white heads in my lower region before, and I also tend to use my vibrators on that spot of my vagina as the pressure on the shaft below the skin is really pleasurable.

What do you VPers think ? Any comments or thoughts would be hugely appreciated. For now I'm going to start the round of anti biotics i was given, and sit tight while I wait for the test results.

I think it was a "better safe than sorry" sort of thing and not anything to cause concern. I think it's just a cyst or pimple.

Thank you! The doctor said he suspects is a cyst as well, i just find it so confusing that it could become so irritated and that it's possible to get cysts in forms of small bumps like that.

My (trans male) partner gets something like what you're describing occasionally. It seems to go away on its own, although he can't seem to resist squeezing and messing with it. He doesn't always have the tender/swollen groin lymph nodes, but sometimes does. He's never taken abx for it that I know of, but he may have in the past. He says a doctor at some point told him it was just like an ingrown hair or something like that.

Hopefully it turns out to be not-HSV!

Thanks, it's good to know i'm not alone on this. It really hasn't broken the skin and there is hardly any redness, it's more so irritated and my groin is sore. The antibiotics the doc gave me were for skin infections, so hopefully that will help what ever is happening down there.

Yeah, that absolutely sounds like a cyst to me. I'd suggest warm compresses with epsom salt water (or just regular salt if you don't have epsom salt.) It doesn't sound like HSV. Glad that you had a swab to make sure, though!
