Feels like there is something in my vagina but there isn't.

I feel like there is something in there trying to come out. The feeling is like a tampon not inserted far enough in or inserted wrong. It also itches and there is a slight discharge that isn't clumpy or smelly. I am or just got through ovulating and sometimes I have a thin discharge from that. And last thing, I just got through taking some antibiotics. Do you think this may be the onset of a yeast infection? I haven't had one in so long that if it isn't cottage cheese lookin and itchin like crazy I wouldn't know what it was, lol.

I am not sure what this could be, you will probably have to go see a doctor if it continues to know for sure. But I can recommend vaginal douching. That can help release anything if there is something stuck or bothering you. Douching is washing or cleaning out the vagina with water or other fluids. You can buy these at your local pharmacy or grocery store, some come with mixable fluids. It’s all very gentle and easy to do. If that doesn’t help going to your doctor or your gynecologist would be a safe bet.

Take care

No, don't douche!

According to this extensive review of studies -- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2567125/ -- douching contributes to Bacterial Vaginosis, Yeast Infections, and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. There is also a correlation (causation unknown) with cervical cancer.

The only kind of douching they give any kind of "pass" on is one that contains vinegar: Three vinegar-containing douches selectively inhibited vaginal pathogens associated with bacterial vaginosis, group B streptococcal vaginitis, and candidiasis, but not lactobacilli, suggesting to the investigators that vinegar (5 percent acetic acid) douches may be less harmful or may be beneficial.

But aside from that? Douching is very, very, very BAD for vaginas, and commercial douches should almost always be avoided.

[...]since there are no demonstrated benefits to douching and considerable evidence of harm, women should be encouraged to not douche.

I don't douche anyway. I'm really thinking it may be the tear I got from not lubed enough sex healing.

Entirely possible. If there is/was any swelling from a healing tear, that might also contribute to odd feelings.

Hope you feel better soon!

I'm wondering if it is the cut that is healing and itching? Sometimes my husband and I don't use enough lube and I get a tear or cut right inside my vagina and that is where it itches right now.
