STD testing for couples

So I've been seeing this new guy, and I feel like sex might be in the not-too-distant future. I've only had one sexual partner before, and I just kind of took his word that he had gotten tested and was STD free. (I was a virgin, and he took my word about that too.) I had gotten tested about 2 weeks after starting to have sex with him and nothing came up. We always used condoms.

Now, however, I would like both the new guy and myself to get tested before we proceed with our relationship; is there a place to do this together? I don't know how people usually do this. I had been going to planned parenthood under the family pact plan, but I assume he wouldn't be able to go to planned parenthood since he has insurance from his job.

Does anyone know of quick places to go together? We're in the south bay area, california. Thanks.

Planned Parenthood does take insurance, so I would call them first and ask. If they don't take his plan, they could likely suggest places you both could go.

what about the local health department? we have them here, and you can go whether you have insurance or not.

I'll search for some online; thanks!

and i'm not sure about where you are located, but here if you don't have insurance, the fees are pro-rated based on income, which you don't even have to provide proof of...and as a low income college student, usually everything is free for me... and you can get everything from STD tests to birth control and pap smears and all that for free as well. and the birth control usually comes with complimentary condoms. :-)
